A week in the life of a Space Engineer

e2E with STEMPOINT and Nuffield Experience Placements are excited to offer a 5-day Space and Satcom inspired engineering experience.

The course, that is open to applications from year 12 STEM students local to Welwyn Garden City, will be held at e2E’s head office in Watchmead, Welwyn Garden City on Monday 7th until Friday 11th August.

The course is free to attend and will give students the opportunity to reflect on key skills needed and pathways into a career in Space industry.

During the 5-days, participants will develop their own satellite mission design project, attend a number of related seminars, and engage in demonstrations. Also included, is a tour of a leading UK satellite facility. At the end of the 5 days, e2E Directors will choose a winner who will be presented with a prize.

  1. Briefly name and describe all the different applications of Space/Satellite Missions that you know? (150 words)
  2. Why does this event interest you and how do you feel it will be beneficial to your future career? (200 words)
  3. Describe how your hobbies and interests may have developed skills that could be relevant to this event? (150 words)

The deadline for applications is 31st May.

All interested students should apply. No prior experience is needed.
